What the app is

Wisconsin Eats is a free guide to restaurants in Wisconsin. It is provided as is, for personal use, without charge and without warranties of any kind.

Check before you go

Restaurants open, close, change their hours and change their menus. Fish fry days, fish, sides and founding years are what each place or a named source said when we checked in September 2026. We work to keep the lists right, but we can't promise that any listing is current or complete. Call the restaurant before you make the trip.

Inspection grades

Grades in the Inspections guide are our own summary, graded on a curve from Public Health Madison & Dane County's routine inspection records since January 2023. They are not official grades and are not a statement by the health department. For official records, see Public Health Madison & Dane County.

Other people's content

Ratings, reviews, hours and photos in each place card come from Apple Maps and are Apple's and its providers', under Apple's terms. Restaurant names and trademarks belong to their owners. Wisconsin Eats is not affiliated with any restaurant, team, chain or government agency.

Corrections

If a listing is wrong, or you own a restaurant and want something fixed, email work-with-nick@gmail.com. We fix mistakes in the next update.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the app or site, including a wasted drive to a closed restaurant. Wisconsin law governs these terms.
